AAP Aviation partners with Pilot Flight Academy to launch cadet program

Paving the way for future pilot employment

Global crew management provider, AAP Aviation announces its partnership with Pilot Flight Academy (PFA) to introduce a cadet program uniquely for PFA students enrolled in November 2023 class. The cadet program is designed to empower students with a clear pathway to secure employment with AAP Aviation and further on to the flight deck of one of the many clients of AAP Aviation, reinforcing AAP Aviation's commitment to bridging the gap between pilot training and employment opportunities.

The aviation industry has long faced challenges in matching the growing demand for qualified pilots. Forecasts show that long-term demand will remain strong, as 649,000 new pilots will be needed over the next 20 years. As one of the leading providers of quality crew for airlines worldwide, AAP Aviation aims to address this issue head-on by offering a structured training program with the promise of employment upon graduation.

“Many growing up today are faced with numerous career opportunities. Our sector needs to take a proactive stance and bring job security into the equation when attracting. We cannot risk losing the war for talent, which is why we already at the onset of our program offer the candidates a job within AAP Aviation”, says Espen Høiby, CEO of AAP Aviation.

AAP Aviation acquired the majority share in the Pilot Group business last year and has subsequently taken several measures in making a career in the air more lucrative. AAP’s specially designed Career Support Program launched earlier this year at PFA aims specifically to ensure that students are well-prepared for the challenges of a career in aviation, - a cooperation that is now being further developed with the introduction of an AAP Cadet Program.

Cadets will undergo rigorous flight training at the esteemed Pilot Flight Academy, which boasts a reputation for excellence and a track record of producing highly skilled aviators.

"This Cadet Program is yet another testament to our dedication to equip our cadets with world-class training combined with lucrative employment opportunities upon graduation”, says CEO PFA, Mikael Eriksson.

The AAP Cadet Program will start November 27 with graduation in late May 2025. The Cadet Program is open to individuals of all backgrounds who share a passion for aviation. Aspiring talents can apply directly with PFA.
