Our 2024 year in review

As we approach the end of 2024, it's the perfect time to reflect on a year filled with accomplishments for our company. From our headquarters in Norway to our teams around the globe, each one of our employees has contributed to our company's success this year, allowing us to deliver on our mission of contributing to the success of our customers.

A new face for a new era

The year began with the launch of our new website and visual identity — carefully designed to reflect who we are today and where we’re headed as a company.

Our new visual identity was inspired by the skies, combining the warm tones of the sunset with blue colors our air crew experiences while on duty, also symbolizing reliability, trust, and our global outlook. It also includes subtle references to the northern lights, a tribute to our roots in Norway and the Nordics. This blend of natural elements speaks to our journey: Grounded in Nordic innovation and reaching the globe, with a diverse and professional team of experts.

The updated design features thinner lines and streamlined visual elements, signifying modernity and agility — core values that define our approach in a rapidly evolving industry. This new face aligns with our commitment to innovation, professionalism, and fostering connections across borders and cultures.

Enhancing technology for a smoother journey

During 2024, we have implemented several new features to our core software technology products, Crewmatch and Crewman — all in close collaboration with our in-house technology company, Zymfonix.

These improvements have streamlined processes for both our crew and clients, allowing us to recruit more seamlessly, interact with existing crew in a more efficient way, and manage more effectively the volume of new joiners onboarding throughout 2024, mainly in Germany, the UK, Ireland, and Austria. The goal for 2025 is to continuing to improve our products and processes, so that we can keep scaling and delivering high-level results to our employees, clients and partners around the globe.

Recruitment success stories

On the recruitment side, our teams have excelled once again! With almost 1000 air crew recruited for various clients around the globe and projects successfully delivered, such as various recruitment assignments for SAS and BRA – the latter being a partnership that we expanded to our new base in Vienna, Austria.

One of the most ambitious assignments this year was our crew management partnership with FLY4 Airlines, where the team succeeded in the recruitment for a completely new company that had no website or information available online at the time when we started. It has been rewarding to have taken part of the successful launch and subsequent operations of FLY4 as we are now managing their crew out of UK, Ireland and Germany.

These collaborations, as well as new ones, will continue into 2025.

Expanding horizons and looking ahead to 2025

This year marked the establishment of seven new legal entities for AAP Aviation, including AAP Aviation Philippines Services and AAP Aviation Austria. In the Philippines, we proudly opened our new office in Manilla, strengthening our presence in the Asia-Pacific region. In September we also expanded our long-existing partnership with ASL, providing opportunities for 40 pilots to join operations out of Dubai, UAE.

On the operational front, our Ferry Flights division achieved a major milestone by acquiring the EASA NCC Compliance acceptance, enabling us to ferry EASA-registered aircraft from now on. This approval significantly broadens our operational capabilities, and makes us excited for the Ferry Flight projects coming in the new year.

Through collaboration between our top management group, business optimization teams, and external auditors, in 2024 we updated key policies and laid the groundwork for future ESG initiatives -  strengthening our commitment to advancing our Environmental, Social, and Governance efforts.

As the aviation landscape continues to shift, particularly in Asia-Pacific, our Total Crew Management™ (TCM) model is poised to seize new opportunities, and we are looking forward to the projects to come in the new year.

To all AAP Aviation team members and partners around the world: Thank you for your hard work and dedication this year. Whether you helped in recruitment, operations, governance, or innovation, your efforts have helped us move forward and made this year a success. Thank you for making AAP Aviation a thriving and united team. We are excited to step into the new year together and accomplish even greater success throughout 2025!
